O&C began trading in Aldeburgh in 1884 and ten years later Barbour started up in South Shields. So we value the heritage of Barbour like our own as well as their family values and appreciation of the countryside around us.

Barbour is now a 5th generation family owned business still located in South Shields. In fact their Barbour wax jackets are still handmade there in a factory in Simonside. But whilst the wax jackets remain ever popular, Barbour is no longer solely focused on country wear. The Barbour heritage and lifestyle collections make for high quality, stylish and functional outfits that our customers know and love.
